Job Title: Transportation Associate

Location: Springdale, AR - 72764

Duration: 3 Months (Extension possible)

Shift: 40 Hours per week.

Overview:

• This entry level management position is responsible for learning all aspects of fleet operations at client site.
• This position will work with an experienced supervisor to gain the necessary training and knowledge to prepare them for success within fleet operations and within client.
• The associate will be involved in daily duties surrounding the dispatch operations of fleet trucks including; coordinating with drivers covering unassigned loads monitoring loads for on time delivery manage driver safety and handling any problems that occur outside normal office hours.
• This position may work within varies departments within transportation including load planning shuttle regional operations to grasp an overall picture of the operation.
• You will also assume the position of weekend night daytime dispatch and other duties as the need arises.

REQUIREMENTS: be able to work a varying work schedule.

EDUCATION: Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

• 6 months of long-haul dispatch experience required.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations a plus.

COMPUTER SKILLS: Requires basic computer skills such as e-mail excel word.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Good verbal and written communication skills.

SPECIAL SKILLS: Motivated self-starter who has the desire to learn and the ability to lead and motivate others.

Looking for people with 6 months long haul dispatch experience, not customer service experience in the transportation field. Must have recent, relevant experience.
