Job Description

Our client, a law firm located in Center City, Philadelphia is currently hiring a full-time staff accountant/senior accounting specialist.

Responsibilities:

• Perform GL account reconciliations
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts
• Process accounts payable invoices
• Respond to vendor and staff inquiries concerning invoices
• Manage 1099 reporting and processing, including annual e-filing
• Assist in preparing client settlement distributions
• Respond to tax notices
• Assist with quarterly and year-end processes

Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting is preferred
• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience maintaining books, preferably in a law firm
• Proficient with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office
• Strong work ethic, well-organized, self-starter
• Strong problem-solving skills, documentation skills, data analysis, research, and resolution skills
• Ability to work independently and within teams
• Ability to deliver on multiple projects simultaneously
• Capable of maintaining strict financial confidentiality
• Strong communication skills to engage with attorneys, staff, and vendors
