Position Summary  

The Sr. Director Finance at RiskSpan will initially report to the COO with the opportunity for advancement to a member of the executive leadership team reporting to the CEO. This role will haveresponsibility for overseeing the financial strategy, planning, and operations of the company. This role will ensure financial integrity, drive operational efficiency, and support RiskSpan’s strategic objectives in the fintech and data analytics space.  

Key Responsibilities  

Strategic Financial Leadership  

• Develop and execute financial strategies that align with the company's short- and long-term goals.  
• Provide insights and recommendations to the CEO and Board on financial performance and growth initiatives.  
• Partner with business unit leaders to support decision-making and capital allocation.  
• Analyze business performance and recommend improvements, particularly resource management and ways to improve leverage across the company.  

Financial Planning & Analysis  

• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial modeling.  
• Lead company-wide financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.  

Capital Management  

• Oversee cash flow management, investment strategies, and capital structure optimization.  
• Lead fundraising initiatives, including equity and debt financing, as needed.  

Qualifications  

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred).  
• 10+ years of progressively responsible financial leadership, preferably within technology, financial services, or analytics-focused firms.  
• Proven experience in strategic planning, fundraising, and investor relations.  
• Strong understanding of SaaS/tech revenue models, risk analytics, and data-driven environments.  
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills.  

Preferred Attributes  

• Experience scaling finance functions in high-growth or PE-backed environments.  
• Familiarity with government contracts or regulated financial sectors.  
• Hands-on, pragmatic approach with high attention to detail.
