Job Title: Sports Card Buyer – Mount Olympus

Location: Plymouth, MN (On-Site)

Employment Type: Full-Time Evenings, 2:00pm - 10:30pm

Schedule: Sunday to Thursday

Compensation: $20- $26 per hour

We're looking for a sharp, passionate Card Buyer to help keep our inventory stocked with high value cards to keep our customers coming back for more.

 

Position Summary:

As our Sports Card Buyer, you'll be responsible for sourcing and purchasing sealed product, singles, graded cards, and unique collections that align with our break formats and audience demand. You should have a deep knowledge of the sports card landscape and the ability to spot trends, value collections accurately, and negotiate with confidence.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Source sealed wax, graded cards, and raw singles across all major sports (NFL, NBA, MLB, etc.).
  
• Maintain inventory flow to match break schedule and market demand.
  
• Build and manage relationships with distributors, hobby shops, collectors, and private sellers.
  
• Evaluate card condition and fair market value using tools like eBay comps, PSA/BGS/SGC reports, etc.
  
• Collaborate with breakers and fulfillment team to ensure seamless product integration.
  
• Stay ahead of hobby trends, new releases, and pricing fluctuations.
  

 

What You Bring:

• Strong knowledge of the trading card market and grading companies (PSA, BGS, SGC).
  
• Prior buying/selling experience, either professionally or in a personal collector capacity.
  
• Sharp eye for card condition, authenticity, and value.
  
• Confidence in negotiation and communication—online and in person.
  
• Ability to work independently while being part of a fast-paced team.
  

 

Bonus Points If You Have:

• Experience with online hobby communities (Whatnot, IG Live, eBay, Reddit, Discord).
  
• Contacts or sourcing experience in the breaker or retail distribution world.
  
• Familiarity with card sorting, packaging, and fulfillment.
