About us This position is recruited through one of our companies, Worldwide Internships, to work at one of our partner luxury hotels in the United States - PA. We are currently seeking culinary professionals with a fine dining background who are eager to elevate their careers in an international, high-end hospitality environment. The position involves reporting to and assisting the Chef de Cuisine in coordinating all food operations. Responsibilities include assisting with purchasing, receiving, storing, issuing, preparing, and presenting food items. You will also be responsible for maintaining and controlling physical areas where food preparation occurs, ensuring compliance with all company and departmental policies and procedures. You will be expected to prepare dishes as specified on the menu professionally and consistently. Duties also include maintaining your station's equipment, inventory management, and placing orders as needed. A passion for culinary arts, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence are essential in this role. Mission

  • Report to work at the scheduled time, impeccably groomed, and in a clean uniform.
  • Responsible for all daily kitchen operations, ensuring a consistently high-quality product is delivered.
  • Accountable for guest satisfaction by ensuring Nemacolin's food standards are met; promptly address guest concerns and rigorously uphold departmental quality and timing standards.
  • Manage kitchen expenses effectively to maximize profitability while achieving financial goals within budget guidelines.
  • Innovate and update cuisine offerings to reflect the latest industry trends and guest preferences.
  • Conduct routine safety and sanitation inspections to meet or exceed Nemacolin F&B standards, as well as local, state, and federal health regulations.
  • Maintain open and productive lines of communication across departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Execute additional duties as delegated by leadership in a timely manner.
  • Report all equipment malfunctions and maintenance issues to the supervisor immediately.
  • Ensure proper labeling, dating, and effective storage rotation techniques for all items.
  • Keep all work areas clean and organized to maintain a professional environment.
  • Attend all scheduled employee meetings and proactively bring suggestions for improvement.
  • Comply with all company and departmental policies and procedures without exception.
  • Demonstrate physical ability to kneel, crouch, squat, climb, stand, sit, balance, reach, bend, push, pull, and walk for extended periods.
  • Be prepared to work in extreme heat or cold and, if required, in outdoor conditions including sun, rain, and high noise levels.
  • Stay vigilant about potential hazards such as mechanical, electrical, chemical, and fume risks.
Profile Live in Mexico or Canada with interest and possibility of being relocated to the US.
  • Relevant culinary qualification and previous supervisory experience are required.
  • Experience in a four- or five-star property is desired.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Must be detail-oriented and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment; adept at problem-solving with employees or guests to enhance their experiences.
  • Extensive knowledge of restaurant themes and direction.
  • Adherence to company grooming standards, including no visible body piercings or unnatural hair colors/styles.
  • Ability to work all stations on the line effectively.
  • Food handling certification required.
  • Knowledge of food cost controls.
  • Flexibility to work days, early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to execute as a member of the line staff, ensuring timeliness, efficiency, and product integrity while working cohesively with the team.
  • Proficiency in using sharp knives safely and effectively.
  • Competence in operating basic kitchen equipment securely.
  • Capability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy.
  • Ability to lift, carry, pull, and push up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout a shift.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating effectively in English.
  • Above-average knife skills and expertise in various cooking techniques, including saucier and butchery.
