A private school in downtown Charleston, S.C. is seeking a Bus Driver for Extracurricular/Athletic Activities with a flexible schedule to join our team!

Hours:

• This is a full time position that requires flexible availability 7 days a week, as some extracurricular trips require transportation on Saturday and Sunday. OT is available! 
• Times vary and are typically between 5:30 am - 8:00 pm.
• Trips during the day the weekday varies on timing and could be up to two activity trips a day.

Responsibilities:

• Drive school bus/s for the purpose of transporting passengers over scheduled routes to and from school and/or field trips/activities in a safe and timely manner.
• Monitors students and other passengers during transit for the purpose of ensuring the safe transportation of all passengers.
• Advises students and other passengers of appropriate behavior for the purpose of reinforcing established guidelines and maintaining passenger safety.
• Assists students and other passengers for the purpose of providing safe loading and unloading from buses during normal transport and emergency situations.
• Be willing to assist in various capacities,(clerical, cleaning, cafe) around campus to make up hours to ensure 40 hours on weeks when there are fewer activities.

​ Qualifications:

• Candidates must hold a valid CDL B license with Passenger Endorsement.
• Clean driving record
• 2-5 years of experience in the bus industry preferably in a post-secondary institution.
• Demonstrate professionalism and appropriate judgment in behavior, speech, and dress in a neat, clean and professional manner for the assignment and work setting.
• Must be able to pass a drug test and background check.
