Private Duty Registered Nurse
Compensation: $48/hr
Available Shifts: 7A-7P & 7P-7A
Start Date: Immediate
We are proud to offer you the opportunity to pursue your passion as a Private Duty Registered Nurse. We are looking for caring and skilled RN's to deliver concierge level care to clients in Chicago's Gold Coast.
Responsibilities:
- Provide thoughtful care to client & patients based on personalized Plan of Care.
- Administer prescribed medications at scheduled times, ensuring correct dosage.
- Provide hands-on support with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Assist with mobility, including transferring from bed to chair, and ensuring the client’s safety while moving.
- Offer emotional support and reassurance, using calm and reassuring language to reduce anxiety or agitation.
- Manage difficult behaviors associated with advanced Alzheimer’s, such as confusion, aggression, or wandering, using de-escalation techniques.
- Observe for any changes in the client’s physical or mental condition, including sleep patterns, appetite, and memory, and report to the healthcare team or family members.
- Intake and output monitoring.
- Monitor and track changes in the client/patient’s conditions and needs and keeps the Director of Nursing and any other appropriate personnel informed.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of daily care, including activities, behaviors, medications administered, and any incidents.
Requirements:
- Current unrestricted RN license in state for which care is being provided
- Certified CPR and negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
- Minimum one (1) year of documented experience required in a home health agency, or healthcare facility, preferred.
- Licensed driver with valid automobile insurance
- Must be able to stand walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
