Unarmed Security Officer – City of Orlando

Shift times 0700-1500 / 1500-2300 / 2300-0700

Reporting to: Security Supervisor

Job Scope/Overview
Our unarmed Security Officers are responsible for day-to-day security screening of garage properties.

Job Description
Pay Rate: $16.00/hour.
After 30-Days: FT Employees Eligible for Health Benefits (medical, dental and vision)

Essential Duties:

• Responsible for identifying dangerous objects and preventing those objects from being transported through garage locations.
• Carry out duties in a professional and courteous manner, providing exceptional customer service.
• Perform physical searches of property, and other identification review as needed.
• Additional security related duties to ensure safety to the public.

  Job Requirements:

• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Must possess a valid Florida Class-D Security License.
• Must have at least 1 year of verifiable security experience.
• Must have a High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Must read, write, and speak English proficiently.
• Must be able to pass a verifiable background check, including criminal employment, education, and personal references.
• Must possess valid state-issued Driver’s License or a valid state-issued I.D. card.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment / annual / random drug screenings.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be able to work and interact with the public.
• Must be able to work around the flexibility and changing schedules. This includes being available to work shifts throughout the day, afternoon, evening and overnight as required.

  Physical Demands:

• Ability to stand for long periods of time with few breaks.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to twist, squat, and bend over without physical limitations.
• Ability to perform patrols including walking long distances and going up and down stairs.
• Ability to protect yourself or others in the event of a physical disturbance.
• Must be comfortable with conditions that range from Summer Heat to Winter Conditions
• Open availability without restraints due to other part time jobs, etc.
