• This position may require up to 3 days per week at a Triangle area office for return to the office in addition to various in-person responsibilities, including meetings.

NCDIT-T Web Systems is seeking a hybrid-skilled AI Platform Architect & Enablement Engineer with deep experience in Azure OpenAI, Copilot Studio, and AI integration into enterprise applications. This role bridges infrastructure and AI enablement-supporting development teams in embedding AI into both new and existing applications, while ensuring scalable, secure, and policy-compliant Azure implementations. This role requires a proactive engineer who can contribute to documentation, knowledge sharing, and enforcement of cloud governance policies in a large public-sector environment. Ideal candidates will have a strong development background and specialize in AI platform enablement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of Copilot Studio and Azure OpenAI solutions for both internal and public-facing applications.
• Guide development teams on embedding AI into existing and new applications, including prompt engineering, API integration, and data flow design.
• Architect and scale AI platforms to support high-concurrency, low-latency workloads, including peak load planning and autoscaling strategies.
• Build and maintain secure, scalable Azure environments using Infrastructure-as-Code (Bicep/Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with DevOps and SRE teams to ensure observability, governance, and compliance across AI workloads.
• Serve as a technical advisor and mentor to development teams, helping them adopt AI responsibly and effectively.
