Job Title: MRI Imaging Technologist

Duties:

1. Performs diagnostic MRI imaging procedures based on established protocols to ensure high-quality results.
2. Prepares patients for MRI scans, explaining the procedure, addressing concerns, and ensuring patient comfort.
3. Operates MRI equipment, ensuring accurate positioning of patients and use of appropriate imaging coils.
4. Administers contrast media under physician supervision following safety guidelines.
5. Reviews patient records and ensures proper documentation and image labeling in the PACS system.
6. Maintains and troubleshoots MRI equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
7. Assists radiologists and physicians with imaging-guided procedures and interprets images for quality.
8. Ensures all images are transmitted to PACS in a timely manner for review.
9. Practices radiation safety measures in accordance with ALARA principles.
10. Participates in the maintenance of a clean and organized MRI room while following infection control protocols.

Skills:

• Proficient in MRI procedures and contrast media administration.
• Strong understanding of MRI equipment operation and maintenance.
• Familiar with PACS, RIS, and EMR systems.

Education & Certifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Radiography program.
• NYS licensure in Radiography and certification to inject contrast media.
• ARRT certification in MRI.
• BLS certification required.

Pay Range:

• Weekly: $3,200 - $3,800
