About Wilton Re

Wilton Re is a U.S. life re-insurance company specializing in the acquisition of in force life insurance and annuities as well as with assisting life insurance clients with product development, underwriting and new business strategies designed to serve the middle market.

Our focus is the U.S. life insurance market where we provide risk capital and related services including M&A and In Force acquisitions, middle market products, traditional reinsurance, and longevity risk management.

Wilton Re also partners with companies to implement new business strategies for middle market sales, with an emphasis on worksite, senior market, and simplified term products. Our fully customized solutions include private labeling with supporting delivery and administrative systems.

Program Overview

Wilton Re’s Norwalk based internship program is 10-12 weeks, fast-paced, and an exciting opportunity to gain professional experience within your field of study or career interest. Interns will be part of an accelerated learning experience, to challenge skills learned in the classroom and develop new skills while working on active Wilton Re projects. In addition, interns will connect to our company culture through community outreach projects and be able to develop their professional skills and business acumen through frequent exposure to senior leadership, unique projects, and a network of mentors and fellow interns. This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days in the office 2 days work from work, based out of our Norwalk, CT office.

Qualifications

• Must possess strong technical skills
• Ability to learn technology software and coding skills such as SQL database, VBA, and Microsoft Excel/Macro
• Experience with data analysis and data reconciliation
• Pursuing Bachelor level degree in Actuarial Science or other Mathematic field of study
• Ability to work full time mid-May to August
• Authorization to work in the U.S.

Location

Norwalk, CT

Hybrid format with 3 days in-person and 2 days from home

Base salary/hourly rate range for this position in Connecticut is between $20.00 and $30.00 an hour. Please note that specific compensation decisions are based upon a variety of job-related factors as permitted by law, including geographic location, credentials, skills, education, training, and experience.
