Job Description

Description We are looking for a skilled Dispatcher to join our client's team, on a contract basis. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the seamless coordination of transportation operations within the agriculture industry. This position requires strong organizational abilities and excellent communication skills to manage schedules, monitor routes, and resolve logistical challenges efficiently. Responsibilities: - Schedule and dispatch trucks between multiple warehouses to maintain timely operations. - Monitor transfer truck routes and ensure punctual pick-ups and deliveries. - Communicate effectively with drivers and warehouse teams to provide updates and address issues. - Maintain accurate and detailed records of dispatching activities and related documentation. - Collaborate with team members to enhance operational efficiency and resolve logistical concerns. - Track and trace shipments from pick-up to delivery to ensure accuracy and timely updates. - Coordinate with contractors, drivers, and carriers to support dispatch operations. - Assist with logistics operations, including dispatching, paperwork completion, and system data entry. - Ensure all processes are conducted in compliance with company policies and standards. - Undertake additional projects and duties as assigned to support the logistics team. Requirements - High school diploma or equivalent is required. - At least 2 years of experience in dispatching or a related field. - Proficient in coordinating logistics and managing schedules. - Strong customer service skills, particularly in call center or dispatch environments. - Familiarity with computer-aided dispatch systems and related software. - Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities. - Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. - Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to maintain accurate records.
