Position Overview: As a Detailer, you will be responsible for cleaning and preparing vehicles for display, delivery, and customer pickup. The ideal candidate will possess a strong attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a passion for maintaining vehicles at the highest standard of presentation. Key Responsibilities:

  • Thoroughly clean and detail the interior and exterior of vehicles, including washing, vacuuming, polishing, and waxing.
  • Inspect vehicles to ensure they meet C. Harper Auto Group’s quality standards before being returned to customers or the sales/service departments.
  • Apply protective finishes to the exteriors and interiors of vehicles to maintain showroom quality.
  • Perform minor cosmetic repairs such as touch-up painting or buffing as needed.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the detailing area, ensuring all tools and supplies are properly stored and maintained.
  • Assist with vehicle flow management to meet department deadlines for service and sales.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment at all times.
  • Assist with anything the Collision Center Manager may need help with in down time or between vehicles.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Previous experience in automotive detailing is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
  • Attention to Detail: A meticulous eye for detail, ensuring vehicles are spotless and up to the dealership's high standards.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and meet tight deadlines.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work on your feet for extended periods, and perform tasks that require physical stamina.
  • Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
