Job Title: Coding Quality Reviewer Specialist

Location: Nashville, TN (Remote – Work from Home)

Employment Type: Full-time

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Coding Quality Reviewer (CQR) Specialist to join our team in a remote capacity. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing comprehensive internal quality assessment reviews on Health Information Management Service Center (HSC) coders to ensure accuracy, compliance with national coding guidelines, and adherence to company policies. This role plays a key part in maintaining data integrity and supporting appropriate reimbursement outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, coordinate, and perform all functions of quality reviews (routine, pre-bill, policy-driven, and incentive plan-driven) for inpatient and outpatient coding across multiple HSCs.

  • Ensure HSC coding staff maintain compliance with coding guidelines, standards, and policies.

  • Demonstrate and apply expert-level knowledge of medical coding practices and concepts.

  • Participate in special audits, reviews, or assigned projects.

  • Maintain or exceed productivity standards (≥95%) and accuracy benchmarks (≥95%).

  • Stay current with all coding guidelines, company policies, and clinical/medical resources.

  • Meet all educational and certification requirements as outlined in company policy.

Qualifications
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management (HIM) or Health Information Technology (HIT) preferred.

  • Active certification required: CCS, RHIA, or RHIT.

  • Certified Inpatient Coding Auditor for MS-DRG required.

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on MS-DRG auditing experience in a hospital setting.

  • Must have experience across all body systems (not limited to a single specialty).

  • At least 10+ years of overall coding experience preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
