Job Description

Infinity Natural Resources (INR) is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Civil / Environmental Project Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in civil and environmental engineering principles and a passion for working in the oil and gas industry. This role will be responsible for coordinating between our internal and external teams to support our civil engineering design projects, such as well pads, pipeline rights-of-way, public and private roadways, and various projects in support of INR’s operations. This role is based out of our office location in Morgantown, WV.

What You Will Be Doing:
  • Plan, develop, schedule, and perform engineering assignments related to INR’s ongoing design & permitting efforts, remediation tasks, and project closeout.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments for new projects.
  • Oversee and support detailed engineering designs & permit applications, including but not limited to civil/site drawings, well plats, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Facilitate effective communication between project stakeholders (i.e. engineering consultants, surveyors, land agents, property owners, etc.). 
  • Oversee and support day-to-day construction projects to ensure adherence to design plans and quality standards, while maintaining accurate redline or as-built drawings to document project modifications.
  • Coordinate and perform field inspection services, as needed.
  • Budget & invoice tracking.
  • Actively collaborate in a team environment that produces outstanding, on-time project deliverables, while coordinating with other departments to ensure project success.
  • Formalize company standards and ensure design consistency in various operating areas.
  • Provide QA/QC on internal and external documents, including technical reviews.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, best practices, and regulations.
  • Work with INR’s management team to ensure all work products meet our quality standards.
  • Work is performed both in an office environment and the field.  Must be willing and able to travel to company locations and selected sites. This may require periodic overnight stays and remote work.
  • This role works in an environment that often requires the performance of multiple simultaneous activities, where deadlines need to be met and work is performed under pressure while involving significant business commitments and results.
Your Background:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil / Environmental Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field.  Additional disciplines considered with proper experience.
  • Minimum 3+years of oil and gas industry experience in the Appalachian Basin with a working knowledge of federal, state, and local agency regulations affecting related activities.
  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
  • Experience with civil/site & right-of-way design and construction is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to meet specific deadlines based on department needs and work independently with minimal supervision, and as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with employees, contractors, vendors, and key stakeholders.
  • Must be able to perform light work – exerting up to 15 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.    
  • See, hear, talk and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity; kneel, sit, stand, walk, crouch, stoop, reach, pull, push and other similar, repetitive tasks requiring physical activity.  
  • Able to operate standard office/computer equipment.
