Job Description
Our client, a top audio entertainment company, is looking for an Audio Producer with a background in broadcast for a 4-month onsite contract in NYC. This role involves overseeing the production of high-quality audio content, including editing, mixing, and recording. The Audio Producer will collaborate closely with the host to develop episode outlines, ensuring a smooth and engaging flow. Additionally, they will assist with guest bookings, research current news and political topics, and ensure the final product meets industry standards. The ideal candidate has expertise in Adobe Audition, strong storytelling abilities, and a passion for delivering compelling audio content.
- This is a 4-month contract that requires 5-days/week onsite in NYC.
Responsibilities:- Record, edit, and mix audio content for broadcast and digital platforms.
- Collaborate with the host to develop episode outlines and scripts.
- Research news and political topics to provide relevant and accurate content.
- Assist in booking and coordinating guests for interviews.
- Ensure high-quality sound production using industry-standard equipment and software.
- Manage and maintain audio files, ensuring proper organization and archiving.
- Work under tight deadlines to meet production schedules.
- Monitor and troubleshoot audio issues during live or recorded sessions.
- Stay updated on best practices in audio production and emerging industry trends.
Qualifications:- 5+ years of experience in audio production, including recording, editing, and mixing.
- Background in broadcast operations or live audio production.
- Proficiency in Adobe Audition and other industry-standard audio software.
- Strong research skills, particularly in news and political topics.
- Experience working with hosts, journalists, or talent in a media setting.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with podcast production and digital distribution platforms is a plus.
